Carol Kopp, age 65, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Thursday, (May 19, 2011) at her home.
She was born on September 23, 1945, in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of the late Roy E. and Leoma Franklin Williams. She was a retired deputy jailor and was a member of the Sulphur Wells Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Larry Kopp Jr. (Yevette) and her daughter, Lana Brown (Ben) both of Caneyville, KY, her grandchildren, Brandon Dewitt, Chasity Lucas, Haleigh and Logan Kopp, her great grandchildren, Joshua and Natalie Dewitt and Peighton Runsvold, two brothers, Billy of Clarkson and Doug Williams of Leitchfield, KY, three sisters, Phyllis Beck, Joyce VanMeter and Vickie Renfrow all of Clarkson. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Larry Kopp and two brothers and a sister, Gene and Charles Williams and Delores Pierce.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (May 24, 2011) at the Sulphur Wells Missionary Baptist Church in Clarkson. Bros. Vurles Logsdon and Chris Cann will be officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and at Sulphur Wells Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
