Carolyn Stewart Woodcock, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away peacefully at her residence after a brief illness, on Thursday, (September 4, 2025) with her husband and loved ones by her side.

She was born on April 14, 1945, in South, KY the daughter of the late Cleo and Pearl Allison Stewart.

Carolyn was a member of the South Union General Baptist Church.

Carolyn was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and quilting, but her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her many nieces and nephews to whom she was like a second mother. Carolyn was deeply loved by all who knew her.

Carolyn is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Kenneth Woodcock of Leitchfield, KY; one sister, Betty Jean Green (Thurston) of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving is a special niece, Kara Decker Haycraft, and a special nephew, Kyle Decker.

Other than her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by three brothers, Veachel Clay Stewart, Roy Stewart, and Cleo Stewart, Jr.; her three sisters, Verzanna Stewart, Virginia Whobrey, and Beatrice Lowe; and her nephews, Marty Whobrey and Ricky Stewart.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, (September 9, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons and Bro. Buddy Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the Vincent Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
