Catherine Lyons Henderson, age 70, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (January 18, 2010) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

She was born on August 16, 1939, in Grayson Co., KY, the daughter of Hillard and Effie Bradley Lyons. She was a nursing aid, a former member of the Eastern Star and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

She is survived by two sisters, Betty Nelson (Thomas) of Mammoth Cave, KY and Mary Decker (James) of Leitchfield, four brothers, Bobby Lyons (Darlene) of Leitchfield, David Lyons (Joanne) of LaGrange, KY, James Lyons (Esterlettia) of Santa Rosa, CA and Walter Lyons of Clarkson, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. (January 21, 2010) at the St Joseph Catholic Church. Rev. Randy Howard will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Elizabeth Cemetery. The prayer service will be Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday to 10:30 a.m. until being taken to the church for services.
