Obituary
Catherine Kiper, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (March 2, 2017) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on April 15, 1930 in Hardinsburg, KY, the daughter of the late William McKinley and Vevie Embry Whitten.
She was homemaker and a cook for the Leitchfield Healthcare Manor, and a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Joan Bratcher (Rick) of Leitchfield; two sons, Mark Kiper of Leitchfield and Scotty Kiper (Tammy) of Houston, TX; one daughter-in-law, Beverly Kiper of Millwood; eight grandchildren, Jacob Kiper (Holly), Matthew Bratcher, Michael Kiper, Pamela Fulkerson (William), Daniel Kiper, Josh Kiper (Sheena), Jeremy Kiper (Kindell Gainer) and Kaitlin Kiper; six great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ailliene Kiper; and close cousin Dorothy Adkins Rinard (Bill); and lifelong friend, Margarea Austin.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Halbert Kiper and a son, Larry Kiper.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (March 6, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Calvert Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. noon to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
