Charles Lorenzo Bland III, age 77, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (June 18, 2025) at Beehive Assisted Living in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on July 16, 1947 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, the son of the late Dr. Charles L. Bland Jr. and Ruby Adams Bland.

Charles was a professional musician and his instrument of choice was the electric guitar. He traveled and played extensively in his younger years. He played with many band in this area as well.

He is survived by his younger brother, Jeffery Bland of Lexington, KY; sister-in-law, Ellen Bland of Louisville, KY; and his step-mother, Kay Stanton Bland of Leitchfield.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Bland and an infant sister Judith.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00p.m Saturday, (July 5, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.
