Charles David Brooks, age 71, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (February 09, 2019) at his home in Leitchfield.

He was born on July 08, 1947 in Edmonson County, Kentucky, the son of the late Curtis and Helen Poteet Brooks.

He was the owner of Brooks Masonry and a retired brick mason.

He is survived by his sons, Michael D. Brooks (Callie) of Leitchfield and Stephen Brooks (Tina) of Clarkson, KY; five grandchildren, Tiffany and Kiara Brooks, and Kendra Milford, all of Leitchfield, and Lauren and Haleigh Brooks of Clarkson; a sister, Agnes Brooks of Leitchfield; a brother, James Brooks, also of Leitchfield; and a niece, Pam Brooks of Louisville, KY.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Shirley Duvall Brooks, and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (February 13, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jeff Reneer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Jack Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
