Charles Wendell Duvall, age 79, of Anneta, KY, passed away Monday, (March 21, 2016) at his home in Anneta.
He was born on July 29, 1936 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Jessie and Hattie VanMeter Duvall.
He worked as a construction laborer, and was on the Anneta Fire Department for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, four-wheeling, gardening, and helping out at his church. He was a member of the Leitchfield Masonic Lodge # 236. He was a member and trustee of the Anneta United Baptist Church, where he attended since 1972.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Agnes Sanders Duvall of Anneta; his children, Brenda Taylor and her husband, Kress, of Bowling Green, Stanley Duvall and his wife, Carma, of Wax, Susie Kinkade and her husband, Steve, of Leitchfield, Tim Duvall and his fiancé, Olivia, and her two children, Mallory and Madeline Helm, all of Leitchfield; two brothers, Curtis and Jerome Duvall; nine grandchildren, Kelly Langley (Jason), Jessica Duvall, Brandon Kinkade, Lauren Hughes (Troy), April Spalding (Nick), Ashley Taylor, Chelsea Taylor, Josh Duvall, and Jeremiah Duvall; five great-grandchildren, Maddie Horton, Sy Hughes, Marshall Langley, Karson Duvall, and Nash Spalding; and a special daughter-in-law, Rita Duvall.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (March 26, 2016) at the Anneta United Baptist Church. Bro. Malcom Doyle and Bro. Thomas Meredith will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and at the Anneta United Baptist Church on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
A Masonic service will be held on Friday night at 5:00 p.m.
