Obituary
Charles Pirtle Hayes, age 68, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (July 22, 2010) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on February 5, 1942, in Caneyville, KY, the son of the late Curtis L. and Oleta Farris Hayes.
He is survived by his wife, Roselie Poe Hayes, one son, Terry Hayes of Louisville, one daughter, Kimberly Fratick of Missouri, four brothers, Adrian (Mayron) of Brandenburg, KY, Richard (Juanita) of Cottontown, TN, Harold (Tamiko) of Pensacola, FL and Mark (Beulah) of Leitchfield, two sisters, Ruth Martell (Patrick) of North Dakota and Susan Decker (Howard) of Leitchfield, a sister-in-law, Carolyn Hayes, six grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and lots of friends. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Lowell Audrey and Christopher Lynn Hayes.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (July 25, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Billy Mason and Bro. Howard Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Union Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00p.m to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
Expressions of sympathy can take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
