Charles Aubrey Newton, age 76, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (September 04, 2018) at his home in Leitchfield.

He was born on November 14, 1941 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Elmer Newton and Velma Decker Newton.

He was retired, but had been the owner of K & N Insulation. Charles enjoyed farming as a hobby, along with his son, Chip, and his grandson, Clay.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Kerr Newton of Leitchfield; son, Chip Newton (Shona) of Leitchfield; daughter, Becky Embry (Steve) of Lawrenceburg, KY; five grandchildren, Melissa, Scotty, Clay, Samantha and Tyler; four great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Savannah, Aubrey and Owen; sister, Hazel Redmon of Caneyville; sister-in-law, Doris Newton of Leitchfield; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Elmer, sister, Pearl Alvey, brother, James R. Newton, and sister, Rita Kaye Brant.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (September 6, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Rick Daugherty will be officiating. Burial will be in the Landis Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p .m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
