Bro. Charles Lester Quisenberry, age 78 , of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, (December 6, 2022) at his home.

He was born on May 17, 1944 in Meade County, KY, the son of the late Bernard and Grace Mudd Quisenberry.

He was a veteran of the US Army and was retired from Gates Rubber Company. He enjoyed fishing, watching UK Basketball, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Shrewsbury Masonic Lodge #545 and the founder of the Millwood Non-Denominational Church in Millwood where he served as the pastor for 20 years.

He is survived by his daughters, Charlene Young (Richard Jr.), Tonya Helphenstine, Charity Quisenberry, all of Caneyville; a son, Jasper Quisenberry (Kathy) also of Caneyville; 12 grandchildren, Gabby Moore (David), Melissa Mears (Stetson), Leo Helphenstine IV (Savannah), Jasmine Keener (Demetre), Melody Buis (Chris), Daniel Clark, Tooter Sebastian (Miranda), Jacob Helphenstine, Jared Quisenberry, Ariel Quisenberry, Sammy Hack & Zoe Apticar; seven great-grandchildren with one on the way; a brother, Ronnie Quisenberry of Cecilia; and a sister, Dee Carter (Larry) of Edmonson County. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Vickie Tomms Quisenberry; five nieces and nephews, Chaley Hughes, Rodney Quisenberry, Tracey Jones, Danny Cunningham & Joe Johnson; four brothers, Louis, Ruben, David & Daymon Quisenberry; a sister, Ruby Bruner; and a sister-in-law, Rita Quisenberry.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (December 18, 2022) at the Millwood Non-Denominational Church.

The family will receive friends at Millwood Non-Denominational Church from 9:00 a.m. on Sunday until time of services.
