Obituary
Charlie A. Downs, age 82, of Anneta, KY, passed away Monday, (October 4, 2010) at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on March 22, 1928, in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late William Aaron and Zora Marie Schultz Downs. He was a retired worker from Kelly Bee Hive Factory, and a member of Anneta
United Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Claire Jean Harrison Downs of Anneta; one son Gary Downs (Debbie) of Fisherville, KY; one daughter Mari Lynn Arnold of Elizabethtown, KY; four grandchildren, Amanda Miller (Lee) and Gina Arnold of Elizabethtown, KY, Ashley Downs of Fisherville, and Bryan Downs (Shannon) of Louisville, KY; and two great-grandchildren Richard Downs and Austin Miller. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers Leo Green and Perry Downs, two sisters Nina Green McClure and Camilla Downs Webb.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (October 7, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Charlie Smith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Anneta Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
