Christopher John Tanner, age 59, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Tuesday, (January 21, 2025) at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on February 20, 1965, in Brooklyn, NY, and raised by the late Jessie and Elma Burns Blain.

A Veteran of the US Army, Christopher was the owner and operator of Tanner's Automotive. He enjoyed building and working on his truck, hunting and fishing with his grandsons, and spending time with his wife and family.

He is survived by his wife of almost 37 years, Linda Blain Tanner; a daughter, Jennifer Tanner; two grandsons, Layne Tanner Grant & Jack Grant; and a special aunt, Faith Devitt.

Other than his chosen parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Tanner.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (January 29, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Davy Norris will be officiating. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will follow.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
