Christopher "Chris" Eugene Turner, age 49, of Leitchfield, KY passed away Saturday, (February 15, 2025) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield.

He was born on September 23, 1975 in Morgantown, KY, the son of Bobby and Janice Simmons Turner.

He was a railway conductor for CSX who enjoyed camping, fishing, watching sports – especially when the UK Wildcats were playing – and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by the love of his life, Carrie Simpson of Leitchfield; his daughter, Destinay Turner of Leitchfield; his son, Trustin Turner (Taylor) of Caneyville, KY; three grandchildren, Levi Yeager, Holland Hack, & Adler Turner; and his parents Bobby and Janice Turner of Caneyville. Several aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Christine & Richard Simmons; and his paternal grandparents Ora & Dessie Turner.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (February 21, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Curtis Woosley Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
