Clarence J. Mudd, age 74, of Louisville, KY, passed away Monday, (October 29, 2018) at Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on July 31, 1944 in Grayson Co., KY, the son of the late Elza and Mary Magdalene Decker Mudd.

He was a retired Carman for the P&L Railroad; an Army veteran of the Vietnam Era, who enjoyed carpentry and riding his scooter and was a member of Hillsdale Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Crawford Mudd; one daughter, Denise (Dwayne) Kinsey, one son, Darren Mudd, two grandchildren, Mary Mudd and Tyler (Aleisha) Mudd, one great grandson, Jayden Mudd, a daughter-in-law, Donna Mudd, his sister, Clara (Richard) Croghan and his fur babies, Maggie and Lexie.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Regenia Hayes, a niece, Melissa Hohimer and his mother-in-law Sarah Whobrey.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon CST Friday, (November 2, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Newcomers Funeral Home at 10304 Dixie Hwy in Louisville from 3:00 pm to 8:00 p.m. EST Wednesday and at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. CST on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
