Clay Thomas White, age 77, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (March 8, 2015) in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on March 21, 1937 in Grayson County, the son of the late Charles Harvey and Leona Grant White.
He was a retired commercial construction worker. He enjoyed gardening, farming, and raising pumpkins. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sue McDonald White; a son, Tommy White and wife, Pam; three daughters, Cindy Hill and husband, Tobey, Penny Newton and husband, Paul, and Robin McGrew and husband, Gary; three brothers, Fred White (Vida Lee) of Leitchfield, Randolph White (Judy) of Clarkson, and Lionel White of Louisville; three sisters, Mary Nan White of Clarkson, Patty Campbell (Glenn) of Elizabethtown, and Martha Nell Myers (Fred) of North Carolina; thirteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. (noon) Thursday, (March 12, 2015) at the St. Anthony Catholic Church. Rev. Steve Hohman will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Church Cemetery.
Prayer service will be Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home until time of services at the church.
