Obituary
Cornelius "Neil" Gibson, age 79, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Saturday, (September 1, 2012) in Falls of Rough.
He was born on February 23, 1933, in Edmonson Co., Kentucky, the son of the late Gus and Ida Jaggers Gipson.
He was a retired dozer operator and farmer and was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his two sons, Danny of Leitchfield and Garry Gibson of Cedar Hill, TN, three grandchildren, Tracy Gibson-Horton of Leitchfield, Sarah Gibson of Montgomery AL and Christopher Gibson of Murray KY, two great grandchildren, Allie and Michael Horton, one sister, Lucy Isaacs of Louisville, two brothers, Truman of Leitchfield and Walter Gibson of Caneyville, KY. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Russell Willis.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Ron Gibson and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (September 6, 2012) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Claggett cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
