Cynthia Geneva Beardmore, age 69, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Tuesday, (July 21, 2026) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on September 28, 1956 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Eugene and Geneva Birdsong Williams.

She was a housewife and a homemaker who enjoyed reading, singing, listening to music and babysitting her nieces, nephews, and grandchildren. Cynthia was saved at the age of 15 at Pleasant Valley United Baptist Church and attended Sulphur Wells “Snap” Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Joe Beardmore of Clarkson; two grandchildren, Dathan Meredith of Bowling Green, KY and Cody Roof of Clarkson; a sister, Karen Denise Haynes (Bradley) of Leitchfield, KY; three brothers, Mark Williams (Gail) of Clarkson, Roy Williams (Sharon) of Leitchfield, and Quentin Williams (Brenda) of Bee Springs, KY. Six nieces and nephews, Amanda Nevitt, Mark Williams, Kelli Deviney, Erich Haynes, Tyler Williams and Ellie Lindsey and several great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved son, Matthew David Roof, whom she missed dearly.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (July 26, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery in Clarkson.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
