Obituary
Cyrus King Jr., age 64, of Sadler, passed away Monday, (December 1, 2008) at his residence.
He was born on November 19, 1944, in Grayson County KY, the son of the late Cyrus King Sr. and Henrietta Margaret Hawkins King. He was a farmer and was a member of the New Freedom Church.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Odell Sandlin King, four sons, Kalvin, and Gabriel (Shelly) King of Sadler, Jonathan (Bobbi) of Leitchfield, and Emmanuel (Heather) King of Edmonson County, KY, three daughters, Melinda Baum (John) of Louisville, KY, Margaret Whalen (Lance) of Radcliff, KY, and Mellonee Tilford (Daniel) of Clarkson, KY, three brothers, Rev. David King of Caneyville, Leon King of Leitchfield, and Asa King of Louisville and nineteen grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children, Clevan Earl and Melissa King.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday (December 3, 2008) at the New Freedom Church in Leitchfield under the direction of the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Denvard Decker and Buddy Swift will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom Cemetery.
Friends may call at the New Freedom church from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
