Obituary
Dakota Blake Powell, age 20, of Bee Spring, KY, passed away Sunday, (February 14, 2016) as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born on November 23, 1995 in Clarksville, TN, the son of Kevin Thompson and Rebecca Powell Vincent.
He was an employee of Leggett and Platt, Inc., who enjoyed fishing, skateboarding, guns, working on vehicles, swimming, and riding four-wheelers. He was an all-around outdoorsman.
He is survived by his mother, Rebecca Vincent and her husband, Bobby of Bee Spring; his father, Kevin Thompson of Henry County, KY; son, Carson Ryder Powell of Leitchfield; two brothers, Austin Lee Harris of Glasgow, and David Harris of Bee Spring; sister, Riley Vincent of Bee Spring; special sister, Shawntey Smith of High Point, NC; "Dad", David Harris, Jr. of Glasgow; grandfather, Tommy Vincent, grandmothers, Sherry Thompson, and Rebecca Clouse; grandparents, David and Charlotte Harris, Sr.; girlfriend, Hannah Mercer; good friend, Jacob Wilson; and many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gary Thompson, and Don Clouse; grandmother, Sue Vincent; and great-grandmother, Stella Perry.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (February 19, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Bobby Vincent will be officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
