Obituary

Dale F. Welbon, age 91, passed away peacefully at home on July 2, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Over his 91 years, Dale touched countless lives with his trademark charm, quick humor, and deeply kind heart.

Born on May 30, 1935, in Racine, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Walter Dale and Winifred Welbon. Dale proudly served his country in the United States Navy Reserves for eight years. Soon after, he married the love of his life, Carol (Murphy) Welbon, with whom he shared 60 beautiful years of marriage before her passing.

A dedicated provider, Dale worked as an electrician for Chrysler for 41 years. Outside of work, he knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. He was a passionate Green Bay Packers fan, an avid bowler in several local leagues, and a man who truly loved music, dancing, and traveling. Above all, he cherished his quiet time catching up on his favorite movies.

Dale’s greatest legacy is his sprawling, loving family. He is survived by his three children: Mary Kay Ruehl, Richard (Annette) Welbon, and Tom (Tammy, and the late Karen) Welbon. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Nicole Adyniec, Jessica Ruehl, DJ Ruehl, Joe Welbon, Marty Welbon, Scott Welbon, Andy Welbon, Blake Welbon and Savannah Welbon; sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, with another eagerly expected great-great-grandchild on the way.

In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Carol, Dale was preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Karen Welbon, brother, Robert Crittendon.

He will be missed beyond measure, but his warmth and laughter will be forever remembered by all who knew him.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
