Dana Sue Carnes, age 56, of Irvington, KY passed away Friday, (June 07, 2024) at University of Louisville Hospital.

She was born on December 03, 1967 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Autho and Diane Butler Blankenship.

She was a housewife and a homemaker who enjoyed picnics, fishing, spending time in nature watching deer and birds, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her fiance, Roger Woosley of Irvington, KY; three sons, Robert Blankenship (Tamara Walker) of Edmonton, KY, Cody Carnes of Wax, Randy Woosley of Big Clifty, KY; a daughter, Kristian Basham of Edmonson County; several grandchildren and a sister, Edna Marie Nicely of Huntington, WV. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jason Blankenship.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen and a Celebration of Life service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (June 15, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
