Obituary
Rev. Danny E. Layman, age 65, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Saturday (January 28, 2012) at his home.
He was born on June 21, 1946, in Grayson Co., Kentucky, the son of the late Sherman A. and Margaret Ann Smith Layman. He was a Barber for 48 years and a Deacon of the Mt. Mariah Missionary Baptist Church and a member of the Short Creek Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife Susan Layman three sons, Darrell W. Layman (Martha), Scott A. Layman (Wilma) and Chad A. Layman (Melissa) all of Caneyville, one brother, Bill Layman (Ruby) of Caneyville, 8 grandchildren, Mrs. Sarah Logsdon, Adam, Mary, Madison, Lindsey, Kimberly, Katlyn and Haley, one great-grandchild, Leeland
Other than parents, He was preceded in death by one grandson, Josh Layman.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday (January 31, 2012) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. David Reynolds, Bro. Hank Gibson and Bro. Gary Sanders will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of service.
