Danny Lewis McClure, age 83, of Eveleigh, KY, passed away Wednesday, (July 09, 2025) at his home.

He was born on April 13, 1942 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of the late William "Bill" and Maggie Poteet McClure.

He was a service center manager for 41 years who enjoyed gardening, fishing, bird hunting, playing softball, and spending time with his friends. He attended the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sally Johnson McClure of Eveleigh; a son, Richard McClure of Louisville, KY; two daughters, Hilda Pierce of Shepherdsville and Jolie McClure of Charlotte, NC; three step-daughters, Kathleen Jones & Karen White (Bill) both of Louisville, Sharon Newby (Mark) of Frankfort, KY and a step-son, William Murphy (Becky) of Dunedin, FL. He is also survived by several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and his beloved beagles

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Joe and Shirl McClure, and a sister, Linda Sue Bostic.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, (July 16, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
