Obituary
David Mark VanMeter, age 45 of Big Clifty, KY and Anthony "Andy" VanMeter, age 43, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (October 25, 2007) as a result of a trailer fire.
David was born on September 12, 1962 and Andy was born on May 18, 1964 in Grayson County KY, the sons of Edward and Eula Mae Dennison VanMeter. They were both members of the Mulberry Flats United Baptist Church.
David is survived by his children, Martha Gary (Daniel), Laura, April, Amber and Samantha VanMeter all of Leitchfield and three grandchildren, Shelby and Preston Gary and Frankie VanMeter; Andy is survived by his children, Jessica Landis, Chris, Cody, Blake and Lacy VanMeter all of Leitchfield and his grandchildren, Samantha and Summer Landis. David and Andy's brothers and sisters also survive, James of Clarkson, Charlie of Anneta, Ruth Decker of Leitchfield, Mary Bratcher and Theresa Puckett both of Big Clifty. Other than their parents, they were preceded in death by a half-brother, Raymond Taylor.
Joint funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday (October 29, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Ed Dermitt will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mulberry Flats Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
