David Lee "Jag" Farris, age 68, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (March 21, 2011) at his residence.

He was born on February 22, 1943, in Grayson Co. KY, the son of the late Ezra and Martha Ausbon Farris. He was retired from Ford Motor Company, a Vietnam veteran and was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Willoughby Farris, his daughter, Tammy Thacker (Billy Joe Aubrey) of Leitchfield, his grandchildren, Tiffany, David and Robert "Bobby" Thacker and Samantha Jo Aubrey, his great-grandson, Hunter Orielly all of Leitchfield, two brothers, Jerry of Louisville and Danny Farris of Millwood, KY. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Eugene and Danny Farris.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (March 24, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Dave Adams will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
