David Murl Fentress, age 72 , of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Sunday, (September 25, 2022) at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on March 25, 1950 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Kenneth and Myrna F. Steff Fentress.

He worked as a brick layer in construction. He enjoyed hunting, being in the woods, being around animals and whittling. He loved to spend time with his pup, Chubbs.

He is survived by his children, Kendall Fentress (Sandra) of Hardinsburg, Devon Embry (Jerry) and Daron Fentress both of Caneyville; grandchildren, Gina, Sean, Austin, Maria, Shelby, and Kenzie; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Levi, Jonah and Raylon; and three sisters, Frances Edwards, Betty White and Beverly Razor.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a stillborn brother and a stillborn sister.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (September 28, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.  Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
