Obituary
David Allen Sandlin, age 47, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (February 6, 2016) as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born on November 14, 1968 in Grayson County, KY, the son of Prentice Sandlin and the late Effie Alvey Clemons.
He was a masonry worker for River City Masonry for 20 years. He enjoyed hunting, working, and he loved his family. He had attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield.
He is survived by his father, Prentice Sandlin of Clarkson; two brothers, Walter (Gaye) Sandlin of Millwood, and Joe (Paula) Sandlin of Leitchfield; step-father, Sammie Clemons of Caneyville; three nieces and nephews, DaLeisa, Josh, and Brittany; four great-nieces and nephews, Logan, Morgan, Carson, and Tima; and his significant other, Tracy Gibson of Leitchfield; three step-children, Shaline and Elizabeth Woosley, and Jolean Jones-Wease; and eight step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Effie Alvey Clemons, and his brother, Norman Lee Sandlin.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, (February 9, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery.
Visitation will at the Dermitt Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
