Deborah "Debbie" Tharpe, age 66, of Elizabethtown, KY, passed away Wednesday, (November 22, 2023) at Barren County Nursing and Rehab in Glasgow.

She was born on May 22, 1957 in Glasgow, KY, the daughter of the late Darrell and Shirley Cash Tharpe.

She was a sorter at the Communicare Workshop who loved music, coloring, Santa Claus and anything to do with Christmas, going to dances, and singing.

She is survived by her brother, Mitchell Tharpe (Jo Ann) of Bowling Green, KY; three nieces, Kristen Thornhill (Jack) of Elizabethtown, KY, Kim Timmer (Michael) and Amy Tharpe, both of Bowling Green. Five great nieces and nephews, Alexandria, Michael, Jacob, Molly and Jaxon and an aunt, Jackie Pursley of Glagow, KY also survive. Special thanks to her caretaker, Wendy Pedigo, as well as the staff of Barren Nursing and Rehab for their loving and attentive care.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, (November 30, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Todd Cassidy and Bro. Garry Watkins will be officiating. Burial will be in the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
