Delbert "Man" Decker, age 90, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (December 6, 2015).
He was born on June 27, 1925 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late William and Millie Hayes Decker.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Homa Minton Decker, a son, Gary Decker, four brothers, and six sisters.
He is survived by one brother, Orin "Kip" Decker; four children, Jerry Decker of Port Lucie Florida, Jean Finn of Kannapolis NC, Chesteen "Teeny" Smith and Joyce Bratcher both of Leitchfield; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Delbert was a WWII veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, 1st Infantry, and fought in Italy. He retired from Fort Knox Civil Service in 1981 after 32 years of employment.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, (December 9, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will follow at the Antioch General Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
