Delvis Ray Woosley, age 80 of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, (July 28, 2015) at his home.
He was born on October 18, 1934 in Grayson Co., KY, the son of the late Guffie and Nellie Wilson Woosley.
He was a Welding Engineer who along with his son was owners and operators of WW Welding; he was an avid UK fan, who also enjoyed camping, his horses and bluegrass music; he was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Leitchfield First General Baptist Church and was attending the New Freedom Church.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Cuba Lee Farris Woosley, his son, Danny Woosley (Debbie) of Caneyville, his daughters, Judy Downs (Rick) and Marsha Downy (Bobby) both of Louisville, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, two sisters, Patty Colston (Sonny) of Indiana and Rita Phelps (Eugene) of Louisville..
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (July 31, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Buddy Brooks and Bro. Bill Farris will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
