Obituary
Dempsey Sanders, age 84, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (October 2, 2007) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
He was born on March 15, 1923, in Edmonson County KY, the son of Hez and Lena Houchins Sanders. He was a member of Leitchfield Masonic Lodge # 235.
He is survived by a daughter, Janice Day of Leitchfield, one grandson, Dennis Day of Leitchfield, three sisters, Daisy Smith, Effie Doyle and Doris Newton all of Leitchfield.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday (October 5, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Edward Dermitt and Wilbur Oller will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
There will a Masonic service Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
