Deona Embry Sr., age 88, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Monday (November 26, 2007) at the Masonic Home in Louisville.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Caneyville Masonic Lodge, and a retired cabinet maker with Koffman's Funiture.
He was born on May 28, 1919 in Caneyville, Ky. the son of John W. & Rosa House Embry.

He is survived by 2 sons Deona Embry Jr. of Estero, Florida & Burgess Calhoun of Salem, Indiana, 4 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Nettie.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (December 1, 2007) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville, with Bro. David Brown officiating. Interment in the New Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Friday.
