Obituary
Derrek Lynn Pierce, age 40, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (December 18, 2012) in Middletown, OH.
He was born on June 7, 1972 in Elizabethtown, KY, the son of Ernie and Cathy Young Pierce.
He was a construction worker, who enjoyed vintage cars and trucks. He was a member of the St. Anthony Catholic Church.
He is survived by his parents, Ernie and Cathy Pierce of Peonia, his brother, Casey Pierce of Leitchfield, his maternal grandmother, Mary Ann Young of Trenton, MO, a niece, Alyssa Pierce, his best friend, Allan Sheckles and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dustin "Dusty" Bruce Pierce.
Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (December 21, 2012) at St Anthony Catholic Church in Peonia. Rev. Brian Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in the St Anthony Cemetery. Prayers will be Thursday evening at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friday.
