Donald Lewis Hester, age 42, of Big Clifty, KY, passed away Thursday, (October 8, 2015) at Baptist Health in Louisville, KY.

He was born on January 14, 1973 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Norris Winfred Hester and Faye Rosalind Cox Hester.

He was a line operator at MTD, who enjoyed helping others. He loved all sports, especially UK basketball and football, St. Louis Cardinal Baseball, Washington Redskins football, and the Boston Celtics pro basketball teams. He was an avid gamer, and loved to play Clash of Clans. He was a member of The Kentucky Hemophilia Foundation, where he attended camp, and eventually became a camp counselor. He loved all his "Blood Brothers". He was a member of the Mulberry Flats United Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Faye Rosalind Cox (Ray Cushion) of Texas; two brothers, Larry Hester (Brenda) of Big Clifty, and Kendall Hester (Stephanie) of Cecilia; three step-sisters, Michelle French (Bo Willis) of Big Clifty, Crystal and Kelley Jones; four nieces, and one nephew; and three great-nephews, and one great-niece.

Other than his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Akema Dianne Rupport.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (October 12, 2015) at the Mulberry Flats United Baptist Church in Leitchfield. Bro. Austin Wade will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and at the Mulberry Flats United Baptist Church on Monday, after 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
