Obituary
Donald L. Jones, age 75, of Morgantown, KY, passed away Saturday, (October 31, 2015) at his residence.
He was born on October 14, 1940, in Oklahoma City, OK, the son of the late Darrell and Juanita Jones.
He was a proud veteran of the US Navy, and after retiring from IBM, he went on to work as an IT Project Manager for Humana. He was an avid Texas-style barbecue smoker, loved the Navy and, enjoyed fishing in his youth.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Cravens Jones, a daughter, Angi Jones-Clark (Alis) of Louisville, KY; three step-sons, Kevin Byerline of Morgantown, Dale Byerline (Donna) of Leitchfield, KY, Todd Byerline (Tina) of Sherman, IL; a step-daughter, Joleen Watson (Rory) of Warrensburg, MO; a step-daughter in law, Brenda Byerline of Bowling Green, KY; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and a brother, Alan Jones (Linda) of California.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a step-son, John Byerline.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (November 4, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jimmy Dockery will be officiating. Burial will be in the Claggett Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
