Donna Elaine Heggie-King, age 64, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (September 16, 2021) at Hartford House in Owensboro.

She was born in Clarksville, TN on January 5, 1957, the daughter of her late father, James Heggie and Roberta Proctor Selby, who survives.

She was a Home Health nurse-aide and also worked as the kitchen manager of the Grayson County Senior Center. She received an Associate of Applied Science degree from ECTC. She was an excellent piano player and had played at many area churches. She enjoyed reading, watching hummingbirds, animals, tending to her fish pond and listening to and playing Elvis gospel music.

She is survived by her mother, Roberta Selby of Dickson, TN; daughter, Mandy (Todd) Adkins of Leitchfield; grandchildren, Chase, Brandon, Brayson and Rayna; great-grandchildren, Isabella and Carter; a sister Marney (Joe) Higdon of Leitchfield; nephews, Jason and Caden; niece, Jennifer; and a special companion, Jim Irving.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Heggie; brother, Kerry Heggie; father, James Heggie and daughter, Kristian (Kicky) Rye.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. CST Friday, (September 24, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Olive Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. on Friday until time of service.
