Obituary
Donnie Earl Lacefield, age 72, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (January 3, 2014) at home.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was born on July 20, 1941 in Edmonson Co., KY, the son of the late Lester and Kathleen Cummings Lacefield.
He was an assemblyman with General Electric, a member of the IUE local 761 and a member of the Welchs Creek Union General Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Harris Lacefield, one daughter, Kimberly Meredith and her husband, Johnathan, of Leitchfield, three grandchildren, Tiffany, Morgan and Robert Tyler, three sisters, Florence Stinson of St Paul KY, Wilma Blessitt of Clarkson and Gladys Harder (Carl) of Louisville, KY.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Lacefield, and a great-grandchild, James Earl Thomas Smiley (JET).
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (January 4, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Mark Claypool will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rabbit Flat Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
