Doris Jean Bratcher, age 70, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Friday, (July 30, 2021) at her home.

She was born on April 7, 1951 in Butler County, KY, the daughter of the late Paul Meredith and Thelma Embry Meredith.

She was a caregiver, a certified nursing assistant, and a tax preparer, who loved to write, read, craft, and spend time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Freddie Lee Casey of Caneyville; her four children, Niki Bratcher (Stuart) of Leitchfield, Ronda JoAnn Bratcher (Brian) of Yeaman, Tammy Nash (Jeff) of Caneyville, and Heath Bratcher, also of Caneyville; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren with one on the way; a sister, Betty Goosey (Jim) of Louisville; three brothers, James Meredith (Rita) of Carrollton, Ray Meredith (Darlene) of Bedford, and William Meredith of Georgia. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-mother, Virginia Meredith.

Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, (August 3, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
