Dorothy Mae Newton Green, age 104, of Louisville, KY, (formerly of Millwood) passed away Thursday, (February 07, 2019) at Landmark of Iroquois Park in Louisville.

She was born on January 7, 1915 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Harve and Emma Jane Bradley Newton.

She was a housewife and a member of Millwood Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her sons, Thurston Green (Betty) and Danny Green (Dianna) both of Louisville; four grandchildren, Steve Green (Pamela) of Mt. Washington, KY, Becky Green Marroquin (Estuardo) of Castaic, CA, Stacy Buckler (Kevin) of Mt. Washington and Dena Dyer (Jesse) of Shepherdsville, KY; eight great-grandchildren, Andrea and Antonio Marroquin of Castaic, Tyler (Missy) and Katie Green of Mt. Washington, Taylor and Kayla Buckler of Mt. Washington & Olivia Dyer and Ashley Goodwin of Shepherdsville; and a great-great-grandchild, Hadley Green. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years Berthel L. Green; a daughter, Dianna Green; a sister, Edna Marie Miller and five brothers, Arthur, Raymond, Norman, Elbert and Lonnie Everett Newton.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. CST Monday, (February 11, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Kyle Blankenship will be officiating. Burial will be in the Vol Layman Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. CST to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. CST Monday until time of services.
