Obituary
Dorothy Jean Lucas, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (February 8, 2013) at her residence in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on December 26, 1931 in Ohio, the daughter of George and Susan "Suda" South Lantz.
She was a housewife, who enjoyed gardening and spending time with her granddaughters and attended the Hanging Rock Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Brenda Lucas of Leitchfield, KY, 2 granddaughters, Bethany Lucas of Louisville, KY, and Dana Lucas of Leitchfield, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Lucas, 2 sons, Lonnie and Cliff Lucas and 1 sister Neila Skaggs.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (February 11, 2013) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chessie Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Elizabethtown Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
