Obituary
Dorothy Meredith, age 88, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (April 28, 2009) in Leitchfield.
She was born on April 22, 1921, in Grayson Co, KY, the daughter of Marion and Alma Bradley Ashley. She was a homemaker and a member of the Leitchfield Eastern Star and the Southeast Christian Church in Louisville.
She is survived by her daughter, Glyna Meredith Gallrein of Louisville, her son, James Quinton Meredith (Betty) of Manchester, KY, her grandchildren, Greg Meredith (Melinda), Beth M. Handel (Bill), Anne M. Gallrein, Caroline K Gallrein and Kim Harris (Frankie), seven great grandchildren and a sister, Yvonne Whobrey of Leitchfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Meredith and one brother, Thomas E. Ashley.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. (April 30, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Rev. Jeff Ballard will be officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
