Dortha Ann Cummings Bratcher, age 80, went to join the love of her life, Roy Bratcher, on April 14, 2023.

Dortha was born on August 16, 1942, on the family farm in Olaton, Grayson County KY, the 10 ^th child and 5 ^th daughter of the late Albert and Merle (Crume) Cummings.

Dortha was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who had the pleasure of getting to know her. She loved living at the family home at DO Stop, KY. Before Roy's death, they loved to travel to the "River Boats" for a bit of gambling fun and joining their son and grandson's during their dirt bike racing. Dortha was also employed at the Parkway Restaurant in Caneyville for many years; but her joy was helping to raise her 3 grandsons, of whom she was especially proud!

Preceding Dortha in death besides her husband,Roy and her parents were her son, Dennis E. Bratcher; her 4 brothers, Dwight, Freddie, Drexel, and Phillip; 4 sisters, Geraldine White, Kathleen Logan, JoNell Kelly, and Betty Ward; and special sister, Sadie Geary.

Dortha leaves behind her son, Brennis (Barbara) Bratcher of Do Stop, KY; 3 ^rd son, Jeff (Tammy) Nash; grandsons, Nathaniel (Kelly) Bratcher of Caneyville, Dylan (Brittany) Bratcher of Leitchfield, and Colby (Melissa) Bratcher of Caneyville; and step-granddaughter, Tara Newman of Caneyville; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Patsy (Rob) Matthes of Spokane, WA; along with many nieces and nephews, especially Becky (Jimmy) Gaither of Leitchfield, who helped look after her in her last few years.

If you knew Dortha, she disliked funerals, however she agreed to a service in which she entrusted to Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield, KY. "In and Out" as she stated, therefore on Thursday April 20, 2023, visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with interment following at the family plot at the Yeaman Cemetery.
