Obituary
Doyle Van Meter, age 91, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (June 26, 2011) in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on June 18, 1920, in Grayson County, KY, the son of Robert and Cordelia McGrew Van Meter. He was a retired farmer, and a member of the Antioch General Baptist Church.
He is survived by two sons, Milburn and his wife Marilyn, and Terry and his wife Burnette Van Meter, all of Leitchfield; four daughters, Elizabeth Kiper and her husband Charlie of Charlotte, NC, Louise Van Meter, Judy Lush, and Joyce Embry and her husband Rick, all of Leitchfield; eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Margerie Grace
Van Meter, one brother Hubert Van Meter, and three sisters, Loretta Clemons, Jolene Mattingly, and Margery Van Meter.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (June 29, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Gary Embry will be officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
