Obituary
Eddie L. Blain, age 80, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Sunday, (March 1, 2015) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on May 27, 1934 in Falls of Rough, KY, the son of the late Charlie Davidson and Exie Jane Shain Blain.
He was a retired teacher who started his career teaching in a one room school and was an educator and coach in Alaska for many years; he was a life member of the National Education Association, the Alaska Education Association and was and a member of the Falls of Rough Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Oma Furman Blain.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Amy Blain and two brothers, Frank Thomas Blain and an infant brother.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (March 8, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Roger Allen, Richard Norman and Titus Bauman will be officiating. Burial will be in the Lone Star Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
