Obituary
Edith Ann Blanton, age 57, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and her friends, on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.
She was born on April 8, 1953, daughter of the late Earl Frederick Hack and Emma Jean Hack of Leitchfield. She was an active member of the Leitchfield First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years James Blanton of Leitchfield, two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly Blanton Dennison and T.J., Emily Blanton Beck and Steve both of Leitchfield, one granddaughter, Emma Grace Beck of Leitchfield, her mother, Emma Jean Hack of Leitchfield, one brother, David Earl Hack of Leitchfield, She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Frederick Hack, grandparents, Carl and Grace England Shain of Falls of Rough.
For nearly 27 years Edith was employed by Grayson County's judicial and court system, working in the county attorney, district judge and the circuit court clerk's office.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday (October 11, 2010) at the Leitchfield First Baptist Church. Bro. Jerry Dunaway will be officiating. Burial will be in the Vol Layman Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield after 1:00 P.M. Sunday (October 10, 2010)
