Obituary

Edith Marie Clubb Langdon, age 94, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, (July 11, 2026).

She was born on July 2, 1932, in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late William and Fannie Howard Clubb.

She married the love of her life, Rev. Murrell Robert Langdon, on August 2, 1956. A devoted preacher’s wife, she faithfully served alongside her husband from the time of his calling to ministry in 1960 until his passing in 2022. She was a dedicated member of Apostolic Faith Assembly, where she faithfully led congregational singing and remained an active member until her passing.

She was employed for many years on the assembly line at General Electric. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, crocheting, embroidery, and lovingly making prayer blankets for members of her church.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Ann Smith (Randell) of Leitchfield and Deborah Ware of Vine Grove, KY; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; one sister, Katie Jo Poteet of Louisville, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Murrell Robert Langdon, four sisters, Mary Agnus Woosley, Willa Mae Hack, Mildred Farris and Imogene Hixson.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. EST Saturday, (July 18, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Steve Williamson and Bro. Ralph Caudill will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be at Owen Funeral Home (5317 Dixie Hwy) in Louisville from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. EST on Friday and will move to the Dermitt Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. EST on until time of services.

Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield is in charge of the arrangements.
