Edward Marshall Johnson, age 78, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (August 17, 2011) at his residence.
He was born on June 29, 1933, in Hickman, KY, the son of Joe and Lorene Jackson Johnson. He was a retired truck driver for Glasscock Trucking and was of the Baptist Faith.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Thompson Johnson, four sons, John (Tina) of Clarkson, KY, Daniel and Manuel Johnson both of Texas and Richard Johnson of Sturgis, KY, two daughters, Marsha Boggs (Brian) of Louisville, KY and Jamie Lucas (David) of Harned, KY, his grandchildren, Mathew and Amanda Boggs, Randi, Ronny and Tyler Johnson, Ashli and Zachary Lucas and Courtney Johnson, two brothers, James "Bubba" Johnson, and Bobby Johnson, four sisters, Annie (Teet) Killebrew, Connie Jackson, Nettie Sue Jones and Jean Beebe and four great grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Ken and Manuel Johnson and two sisters, Minnie Louis Swindle and Angie Sims.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday (August 20, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Freedom Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
