Edward Otto Lindsey, age 87 of Millwood, KY, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 13, 2014.
He was born on July 3, 1926 to the late Tolbert and Geneva Young Lindsey
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Edward Eugene Lindsey, a grandson, John Edward Eric Lindsey and sisters, Gladys and Helen Lindsey.
He was a retired electrical contractor, an avid farmer, bee keeper, gardener, former Leitchfield Police officer, a conservationist and a ginseng cultivator. He was a member of the Caneyville Masonic Lodge and was a Mason for over 50 years; a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Mildred Vaughn Lindsey, four daughters, Mary Helen Wilson and Tracy (Danny) Lindsey of Leitchfield, Lucy (Arnold) Lucas of Hardin Springs, KY and Dr. Julianna Lindsey (Dr. Mark Prince) of Knoxville TN, one son, James Dennis (Lisa) Dooley of Reed, KY, his grandchildren, Tara, Jamie, Jeremy, Brooke, Chris and Kasie Lindsey, Lauren Alea Lucas, Steven Wilson, Rhiana and Ethan Prince, three great-grandchildren, Dallas and Wyatt Lindsey and Asianna Hutchinson and a daughter-in-law, Tona Lindsey.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, (January 16, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Masonic services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
