Edwin G. (Sun) Probus, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (February 24, 2010) at Springview Nursing Home.

He was born on April 22, 1928, in Grayson County, KY, the son of Cordis (Jack) and Margaret (Rhea) Simon Probus. He was a retired farmer.

He is survived by his two sons, Joseph Probus of Boise, ID and Jeffrey Probus, one brother Larry (Juanita) Probus of Leitchfield, KY, two sisters, Brenda (Sidney) Williams of Clarkson, KY and Linda (Michael) Hayes of North Pole, AK., four nieces and four nephews, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Cordis (Jack) and Margaret (Rhea) Simon Probus, one son Johnny Probus, and one brother Wilbur Franklin (Moon) Probus.

Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. (February 26, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Mike Cannon will be officiating. Burial will be in the Duff Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of service.
