Effie Doyle, age 82, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (June 4, 2015) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on April 3, 1933 in Edmonson County, KY, the daughter of the late Hez and Lena Houchens Sanders.

She was a retired supervisor for Bel Cheese, who enjoyed bluegrass music, quilting and gardening and loved her family and friends; she was a member of the Shrewsbury Eastern Star # 496 and New Harmony United Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Denetta Williams of Aurora CO, and Regina Fouch of Leitchfield, one son, Douglas Doyle (Geri) of Leitchfield, 3 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, one sister, Doris Newton of Leitchfield.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Willard, Dempsey, Thomas and Kermit Sanders, five sisters, Daisy Smith, Lucille Vanmeter, Bernice Newton, Maxine Whobrey and Irene Sanders.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (June 6, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jason Webb and Bro. Donald Webb will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.

There will be an Eastern Star service Friday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
